Switzerland defender Manuel Akanji is set to move to Borussia Dortmund despite interest from Liverpool, according to Blick.
The centre-back missed training with Basel in order to travel to Dortmund where he will agree terms and complete a medical ahead of a €21.5 million transfer.
Spurs and Liverpool had both been linked with the 22-year-old, but he preferred a move to Dortmund as he felt he could more easily break into their first team.
Stoke turn attentions back to O'Neill
Stoke City have turned their attentions back to Martin O'Neill after Quique Sanchez Flores decided to stay at Espanyol, according to the Telegraph.
The Potters had hoped Flores would agree to take over at the Britannia Stadium following Mark Hughes' sacking, but saw the former Watford boss confirm his desire to stay in La Liga at a press conference on Saturday.
As a result, Stoke will now go with their second choice for the job, current Republic of Ireland boss O'Neill, who is expected to take assistant manager Roy Keane with him as he returns to club management.
