The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Caretaker
Committee National Chairman, Senator Ahmed
Makarfi and other chieftain of the party on
Wednesday visited four of their party members who
have been in the custody of the Economic and
Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over two
weeks.
The members are former Minister of the Federal
Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) Bala
Mohammed, former Spokesperson to ex- President
Goodluck Jonathan campaign Organisation, Chief
Femi Fani- Kayode; former Minister of State for
Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro and a former
Presidential spokesperson, Dr. Reuben Abati.
Those who visited them in company of Makarfi were
the National Caretaker Committee Secretary, Senator
Ben Obi; National Publicity Secretary, Prince Dayo
Adeyeye; National Organising Secretary, Senator
Abdul Ningi; Senator Odion Ugbesia and Hajiya Binta
Kuraye.

The PDP leadership members were said to have
arrived at the EFCC cell at about 2.30pm and met
with and discussed with the four members in EFCC
custody.
It was learnt that Makarfi and his group gave them
words of encouragement, solidarity. Decrying what
the victims have been going through in the hands of
the officials of the EFCC, they asked them to keep
the flag flying and that they should rest assured that
the whole of the PDP family is firmly behind them in
their travails.
The four detainees are said to have thanked them for
the visit, words of encouragement and quality of
good leadership which their visit demonstrated.
