Governors elected on the platform of the All
Progressives Congress, APC, have registered their
displeasure over the lopsided appointments made by
President Muhammadu Buhari, by writing him
officially.
The governors are particularly peeved with the list of
46 non career nominees for the position of
ambassadors the President sent to the Senate for
confirmation.
It would be recalled that the APC governors had at a
meeting with the President last week, expressed
their displeasure over the nominations he sent to the
Senate.
Confirming the development after a closed door
meeting with President Buhari at the Aso Rock
Presidential Villa on Monday, Benue State governor,
Samuel Ortom, said that the President has received
the letter and was attending to it.
He said: “it is the prerogative of Mr. President to do
appointments, but where there is need, we always
give support. We have written where we have
reservations, and it is being attended to.”
